Pune is my second home and I started my career from here and restarted it again. The second innings has been consistent and this time I am fortunate to stay near the hills and away from the city. I found a flat near my work place and a great snacks center right in middle of my flat and workplace. Sadaguru, the snack place is more famous for the awesome wada pavs and cutting chai. It’s a take away joint where I have been a frequent customer. No I only do free reviews for Lighthouse Insights.
Recently I visited this place after a gap of a month. The owner was too busy to collect the money so was not in a mood to recognize me. I took my coupon and moved to the food counter. I smiled and gave the coupon to the guy who has been there for some time now. His acceptance with a smile was enough for me.
PN: Wadapav and coffee
Guy: Coffee later?
I had my wadapav and went to grab my coffee that was in its final stages to be served. Before i could say, he said it.
Guy: Without sugar, right? Here’s it
PN: I just had to nod
I sipped my coffee and left the place.
Two things that I would like to draw from this small incident.
One customer service is about helping your customer that extra bit and it applies for bigger and smaller brands.
Second the guy remembered my taste not because I tip him and neither his shop does but then why he is taking that extra effort? I guess you do this when you are serious and love what you do. Maybe he is not earning like us nor he has a chilled out life but he is doing something that we educated citizens avoid. Even at times I finish my work without caring about it but these small incidents are like a mirror for you.
So what do you have to say?
P.S. @Vinaya did you get your answer that I promised in my last post’s comment.
