From 12th June 2012 onwards, apart from generating interesting content and managing Lighthouse Insights, I would be assisting Buzzfactory as Head Of Social Media. Buzzfactory is an integrated agency based out in Pune and I have admired the firm and it’s Founder Neil Sequeira for a while. I had met Neil last December, 2011 when he was looking for funding opportunities and was also planning for expansion. It was the same time when I had made plans to leave my job and give my entire time to Lighthouse Insights. However, as Neil mentions in his welcome note for me that the stars were not aligned for it to happen. This time around I was interested to be a part of Buzzfactory and Neil was quite excited seeing my interest. Hence from today onwards I am going to support Neil in his startup.
I am not boasting but in the last 6 months, I have been offered different kinds of roles from managing a social media team to setting up an entire agency. I had said no to them not that I had problems but genuinely I was not ready. Today since I am joining Buzzfactory as a strategy consultant and advisor I find clear reasons why I want to join:
1. Over the last year and half, I have reviewed lot of social media campaigns, reviews, case studies, etc. With this I also have loads of ideas that I want to implement and Buzzfactory will provide me the platform.
2. Neil is very well aware of my love towards Lighthouse Insights and he is not worried about it. So I can very well work for my startup and provide necessary help to Buzzfactory. I think this is the best thing to happen for me and only Neil could have done this.
3. Money is required for survival so the association will provide me financial support and keep fueling my passion for my startup. With a wife now I have retired parents who are my responsibility too.
What Happens to Lighthouse Insights:
I am glad that few of our readers and friends spoke to me and were concerned to know the future of Lighthouse Insights. First of all I am really happy to know that our site is being liked and is creating a small impact.
Our site would work the same way as it has done for the last 18 months. Nothing is going to change except the quality. You will have more better news, campaigns, case studies, etc.
Hopefully I would like to have your good wishes and hopefully I would add value to Buzzfactory along with Lighthouse Insights.
