Success of content is defined by the value that it creates for its target audience/readers. Every blog or content piece should have a defined objective. In my opinion, most of them fail because they are trying to do too many things. I have come across bloggers who are ready to write on any topic, from fashion to tech and politics too.
Blogging, over the years, has earned recognition because bloggers drive authority on a certain subject with their fearless attitude of sharing it with the world. Bloggers have been known for an informed stand. We need to keep that alive.
Today if you are a blogger and want to establish yourself in the online publishing world then you need to find the niche that aligns with you. Find an objective and keep producing content aligned to it. Make sure you also bring diversity in your content while sticking to the objective. Before publishing, one needs to ask a simple question – Why would my readers be excited to read this post?
Over the last five years at Lighthouse Insights, we have done the same. We focus on creating content that will give value and insights to the digital marketers. Our readers are aware and that drives them to click on our articles. The day we lose the objective we are dead in the online world.
Along with objective, one needs to focus on how it is being presented. No one wants to eat delicious food served in a dirty plate. This involves correct grammar, the ability to hold the readers’ attention and a clean reading experience. With mobile being the primary device for consumption, not only do you need a responsive site but it should also load quickly. After all they wouldn’t want to wait far too long for a site to load.
Results will not be achieved overnight or in a month. All successful bloggers have done it over years to build their authority. One needs to keep doing it while following the core principles and success is bound to happen.
